Black and White Idealism for Cleaner Gray
I've heard people speak of how Gray life can be and how it's pointless and actually inappropriate to think with a Black and White mentality. Why? Because they consider it rude, judgemental and outdated. In other words, they feel threatened by moral laws because they cannot live up to them.
I am moral. I am a sinner. Does that mean the universe is going to end?
Of course not.
If thinking in a white mentality is ideal, then blackness is never too far out of reach when one thinks in the Gray. Thinking in the Black and White affords you the cleaner thoughts of division - division between truth and illusion. Life creates multiple illusions, not that they are necessarily bad or evil. Such illusions can create a comfort layer between people and a possible harsh reality of their existence, preserving their minds from the degradation of a hard life.
One must keep the black and white in mind. If you think in black and white, the range of gray in your thinking, and your life, will diminish. The cleaner separation keeps the Gray from spreading like a disease.
Believe in truth, practice truth, recognize when you're not in the truth. Don't mistake something for truth when it is not, don't perpetuate an illusion because you enjoy its intoxication. If something is wrong, do not deny it's impropriety. Do not deny sin as a personal choice that is up to you to decide how wrong it is or isn't.
Morals were decided by the Creator and left in a massive book, full of examples, instructions, how-to's and some really cool stories. It is the single most defining faith that has survived and shaped human society as we know it today.
Now, despite the black and white mentality, you don't have to be judgemental of people. People live gray. I live gray, pastors, preachers, fathers... even the pope lives gray, if possibly less than others. So I'm not putting anyone above anyone else (save the Son). So, living gray, you should still remember to keep right, wrong, black and white, in mind.
You'll never attain 100% of the goal you seek, but if you keep your mind on 100, you might reach 90. If you keep your mindon 50, you may not even reach 30. Keep that mind.
