Today is Tomorrow's Now
Dictate your today lest your problems dictate your tomorrow.
In this world, we are a bunch of weak-minded fools, me included. We must persevere to destroy our weaknesses. How?
By walking away from them. Weakness keeps you from happiness, truth, and God. I will not give up in my struggle to destroy my darker side. It is the greatest battle any man could ever partake, and the greatest victory any man could hope to win.
There are several reasons every man should work to improve himself.
1 - His woman deserves 100% of who he is and who he's capable of being.
2 - His children will become him, in part or whole. If he does not conquer he demons, his children will suffer for them.
3 - Peace of mind comes only when the mind is no longer at war. War must be won, or a mexican standoff is sure to stand for long periods of time. Win for good and overcome the dissension within.
You cannot put anything off to tomorrow. Why? Because it IS tomorrow, right now. What you said yesterday you would do "tomorrow," is something that will never get done until you're prepared to do it "today." The only reason you should have to do something tomorrow is because you run out of time today, not because you don't want to do it today.
Today for your children.
Today for your wife.
Today for yourself.
Most importantly, today for your God.
Today, I pledge to change my life to improve tomorrow. By working today, I will move forward tomorrow. Until tomorrow, I will dig in, clean my wounds, burn them and watch them heal as I learn what it takes to get moving and stay moving. There is no excuse, nor will I make one, to backslide time and time again when God has promised his hand to stay in mine.
My addictions, fears and emotions do not pay me enough to deny the glories of obeying God, nor will I pretend they are. I pledge, under Jesus Christ, my King, to never give up the fight, and to always give back twice to God everything the great Warlock sends at me.
My emotions will obey my mind, and my mind will obey the truth. The truth is from God and it will set me free.
